One of the greatest movies of all time. Hilarious, thrilling, poignant, and suspenseful. This film is so iconic and such a part of The Canon that it is easy to forget how wildly entertaining it is.

All three leads are incredible here: steely eyed Clint as the platonic ideal of the Western hero, wily Van Cleef as the villain with eyes like a cat, and Eli Wallace as the bumbling fool, both loveable and despicable. Not to mention the gorgeous cinematography, unbelievable editing, and the greatest composer of all time creating his most famous score. Masterpiece.

Our third year continuing our questionable tradition of watching a Leprechaun movie on St. Patrick’s Day.

This was probably the best one so far! Lots of fun moments and definitely the highest production budget, while still being, you know, a Leprechaun movie. Can’t imagine it gets better than Leprechaun in Vegas, but we’ll see next year when Lep goes to space

However, the jaw-dropping visuals serve a story built around multiple rape scenes and a female protagonist who is endlessly objectified. I’ll split the difference and give it three stars.

    Bong Joon-ho’s Megalopolis

There is a great 100 minute movie hiding somewhere in here. Robert Pattinson is fantastic, the clone doubling VFX is super impressive, and Mark Ruffalo and Toni Colette are having a ton of fun hamming it up.

Unfortunately, the good stuff gets lost in the soup. I was a bit worried going into this one, since I find Bong Joon-ho’s English films are always uneven, and his post-Parasite juice meant unbridled creative control, so there would be…
