a movie that is way more interested in the event than any of the characters of its perspective like there is 2 character defining moments in this movie and that’s it! and they happen to the same character no one else is developed they’re just there because they need to be. like its cool to see what would have gone into a broadcast like this but there is just no substance here

handful of chuckles but holy shit it was just trauma porn - just endless. gives us no time to breathe from one to the next, doesn’t feel like it cares about how it depicts anything that happens.
also the framing device got really really grating as time went on, it felt it was only an introductory but then it just kept going and going and going and got worse and more annoying the more it went on - the constant narration isn’t an issue in mary and max because that it literally just letters back and forth but here she’s just talking to her pet snail
