“between revenge and life…”
So many twists and turns it’s easy to see why this story has remained the benchmark revenge tale. This adaptation did an amazing job of telling such a long-spanning story while never feeling like it takes its foot of the gas. In a world where the Brits no longer own Bond it’s nice to see French productions of French stories, i can’t wait to check out Pathé’s Three Musketeers as well to keep the Dumas-fest going.
