david obviously as good as it gets but the actresses in this are fucking insane. lesley sharp absolute scene stealer, katrin cartlidge incredible then claire skinner comes in towards the end with less than five minutes and does that. what else can you say man, thank you mike leigh of course.

this didn’t do it for me. dropping a conflict and a time jump twenty minutes before the movie ends...? darius was unbearable matter of fact all the men were. you’d think darius hated nina at times the way he talked to her or behind her back or just abt women in general. i hate laidback men. i wasn’t too fond of the chemistry either. costume design, cinematography and music were good though so i guess there’s that.
