  i knew it was going to be unsettling and deeply upsetting and i still wasnt prepared. i know theres a lot of lines that really knock you over the fucking head but "how do you know what she likes" at the table scene did me in. sheryl lee, jesus christ.

  yknow what. im into the horny food couple. match each other's freak and so on. 

  do you ever just feel the EARNESTNESS and LOVE pouring out of a film? thats it. and to do so much with love, and food (and death!) is gorgeous. and gross! it can be both! it probably should be! underrated scene is the young suit ordering at the fancy restaurant. damn.

  coming back to this for the first time in a while, i appreciate a lot more beyond the initial flirting, lingering gazes and Hand Touches (though i still love all that). carol strikes me a lot more this time as a lesbian who is steadfast in her identity, despite her ongoing divorce and custody battle (harge is an "ugly person" ngl but her monologue w the lawyers is what Hit here.) and honestly, theres an evident transformation in therese after…
