Great biopic - no boring pramble about early life just right into the exciting years of Dylan's career. Think Timothee Chalamet is really impressive in this honestly. He was a bit off in some songs but Dylan is a very difficult musician to mimic.

Pacing-wise this film does a good job of taking you along on the journey of Dylan's career rise and the pace picks up as he rises to fame. Its done really well and it reaches a…

    This movie fucking sucks.

So dissapointed by this. Really liked the book and this just didn't capture any of what made it great. Completely lacked any humour, no nuance to the character writing and devoid of any meaningful world building. The whole climax section was dumb, the resolution was weak and forced and all of the characters were annoying from start to finish.

The end result here is a film with half-baked characters, a plot that is completely off pacing-wise and a criminally under utilised source material.

An unapoligetically dark, British masterpiece. So many reasons why this film wouldn't be made now - not least of all the incredible opening sequence which just could not be filmed in London in 2024. One of the best opening sequences ever filmed.

An all time favourite of mine and the peak of zombie survival fiction. Hope the follow up lives up to the legacy.

Giving it 3 stars because its a novel idea and I like monkey. The final half hour was really strong and the reconciliation was pretty well done. The monkey fight scene was genuinely amazing imo. Also respect that it doesn't paint Robbie Williams in a good light at all for the majority of the story (unlike Elton John's wank fest).

Wouldve been 4+ stars if the whole cast were jungle creatures.
