  i loved it. David Thewlis plays a sort of mancunian Holden Caulfield / Raskolnikov hybrid. Like the former, he constantly berates the state of the world, which (as when reading Catcher in the Rye) is a bit irritating at first, but becomes more compelling and sophisticated with time. Like the latter, he commits a crime at the beginning of the film and is forced to flee to a grimy London (...St Petersburg), but unlike Raskolnikov he shows no remorse or…
