While I expected to like it, I didn’t anticipate liking it this much. The structure of the movie is excellent—it's cohesive, and each part flows naturally. I really enjoyed the initial build-up, the insidious tension of what was about to happen, creeping in on their little base with its cold, sterile walls. Furthermore, I appreciated how it maintained suspense by keeping us guessing about who was who, driving the narrative toward the end. Most importantly, the atmosphere in this movie is immaculate. It captures those eerie, isolated vibes incredibly well, and it has me craving more horror set in cold, desolate landscapes!

I see a lot of varying opinions about the movie. I know I can be easily impressionable, but I truly appreciated the way it was filmed and the atmosphere it created, I was fully immersed in them eerie stills. As a fan of Remedy's video games and David Lynch's work, I can't help but feel excited when something decent emerges in this sub-genre that mixes thriller and the paranormal, making you question what's real and what’s not. The performances were also excellent, especially Nicolas Cage, whom I didn't even recognise until I read a review.

It was a pretty good movie. The acting was solid and felt organic, successfully capturing a moody vibe, and the same for the camera work. One aspect I particularly appreciated was how it showcased what life was like for people in the past. It highlighted how many things we often take for granted and how limited and harsh their conditions were, with little they could do to change their circumstances. It’s no wonder that many of our ancestors found refuge in various types of religion—and why we continue to cling to them today, albeit with a slightly lesser degree of superstition.

Between the first three movies I enjoyed this one the most. The first was great, it had an amazing opening, setting up the scene for an unsettling story, the presentation of the line between dream and reality was also very well done from a cinematic standpoint. The second movie wasn't bad necessarily, but I found it the weakest amongst the three, still, seeing Jesse spiral down into Krueger's madness was chilling and I thought the acting was amazing in displaying…
