The pacing of the story, stylistic filming choices, and the immersive nature of this film led to a gripping watch. I initially would wander or get lost in some of the first-person pov filming and the flipping back and forth of this between the two main characters, but once it clicked, it clicked. obviously not apparent on the surface, but this movie was incredibly endearing.
a dishelved father believing in “winning” at all cost [ultimately for the sake of his family], a (mostly) grounded mother trying to hold it down, loose canon grandpa lol, an uncle contending with the paradoxes of his own life, a teenage son navigating his identity amidst all^this mess, and thee most tender and sweet “little miss sunshine” :’)
