  I watched this about a year ago, and am still thinking about it pretty frequently. I remember people were not happy when it first came out, and that’s kind of understandable considering the dread and anxiety this movie conjures. I think I like it for the same reasons people hate it. I enjoy trying to decipher symbolism and themes, and am always impressed when a movie can bring out very real emotional responses from me. That counts even when the emotions are less than comforting.
