Very long, but didn't actually feel *that* long. Nevertheless, I wasn't really that taken with it. There were moments that desperately wanted to be powerful, but didn't quite entrance. For a film where architecture was centrepiece, I felt as if we didn't get to experience the power of the architecture as we should have, and Guy Pierce was unconvincingly hammy for my taste. A subtler performance opposite Brody may have helped a very unsubtle metaphor late in the film. The music was great.

Dial M for Murder 1954
Truly a delight. That transatlantic accent. Grace Kelly. A guessable twist! I do love when film is just a little theatre.
