Apichatpong’s films always feel like an experience I need time to sit with. There’s a lot I didn’t understand—lots of references to Thai culture—and much I did understand.
An in-between. It feels like waking up from a nap at golden hour
Perhaps that’s the intended nature of his films. Something to simply experience.
Love to appreciate the tender, queer undertones present in his work. Although nothing gets me more than the slow and drawn out shots Apichatpong is noted for.
