    Ended my run of Cronenbergs with a palate-cleanser: a sequel (directed by the first film's FX guru) that ups the viscera and puppetry but lacks the wit or philosophy of the first The Fly. As YA replacements for Goldblum and Davis, Eric Stoltz and Daphne Zuniga aren't so bad, and the slam bang finale has to be seen to be believed, but the buildup for I Was a Teenage Tsetse makes you wish there'd be an intervention by Spider-Man long before the final metamorphosis.
