  sea shanties and a dainty maine murder mystery. definitely got better as it went on, albeit with a few contrived moments.

  seems to be going for “crabs in a bucket” as a mentality that also extends to suburban outskirts, where the unspoken rule is to swim to the top of your food chain by any means. where men violate and police women, while women exploit anyone with less power than what they’ve gained.

  great editing and use of color… that’s it lol.

  foodie call cinema. clockwork orange for femcels. for the “i’m so siLLy 🤪” girls. for the “film is a visual medium” and “style is substance” crowds. if i wanted to watch white women waste food, i would just hit the internet.

  70 minutes of listening to them laugh like chanel west coast and chew with their mouth open just made me more of a stickler for etiquette if anything.

  goofy as hell - voodoo doll possession abound. the fight choreography/pyrotechnic work is especially spectacular; i think my favorite scene involves an attic fight between the male lead and actress kara hui wherein the two begin mimicking the sounds of a cat and mouse to deceive a hotel guest (gordon liu) staying below. i wish the notion of firearm invulnerability and the relationship between the three main characters amounted to something grander, but this was definitely an entertaining watch
