Oh Don Knotts, you so wacky.
He is great in this movie and perfectly in this character. He has some great scenes and some great lines and the movie as a whole is a lot of fun.
It's a nice little mystery with some great characters, and some other pretty wacky ones other than Don Knotts, and a cool haunted house with some cool scenes in it.
Rachel, Kansas has now become a very memorable fake town in my mind…
I went into this movie as my daily horror movie... but what a waste that was. This ain't a horror movie, it's pretty much a religious melodrama and not one that is interesting at all. It's typical stuff that's all been seen before.
I'm not big on this genre to begin with, religious horror or thrillers or what have you, and they all seem to be based around the same sort of thing and since I don't buy into any of it, I really don't find any fear around it.
So maybe someone else could find something in this movie... but I could not.
I see a lot of bad reviews for this, but I enjoyed it. Thought it was an interesting glimpse into Snoop Dogg's life at this time and his transition into "Snoop Lion" which I originally thought was stupid and ridiculous and a big gimmick, and it still might be, but if it is he sure as hell put a lot of work into it.
Even more interesting than that though is the glimpse into the Rastafarian culture which definitely fascinated…
I'd like to start this by saying I've thoroughly enjoyed every Die Hard film I have seen. Live Free or Die Hard definitely had it's issues, but I had so much fun with it I was able to forgive them and really enjoy it.
