Ride with the Devil 1999
Ride With The Devil , directed by Ang Lee would always make my list of Top 10 Westerns , I can't understand why it's never hardly mentioned in these sort of lists , it is brilliant from start to finish .

It's been said to be the French ' Heat ' but I think that's just giving it a disservice , it's a brilliant film in its own right and doesn't need to be compared to the American film , great though it was .

Although I enjoyed the film , I thought the story-line was a bit see-through in parts [ you just knew the little girl would be saved ] , and I thought it ended a bit quickly as if they'd all had enough .
Sharlto Copley stole the show with his portrayal of Kruger , without doubt the strongest character in the film , Matt Damon was forced to play second fiddle more or less throughout when Kruger appeared .
