High and Low 1963
The structure of this is a bit jarring - it feels like a nearly complete, and absolutely incredible movie, that turns into a very good (but not quite elite) second movie, that then turns back around to add a resolution to the first movie.
Regardless of the unique structure, the parts that make this movie up are excellent. The middle portion drags just enough to pull it down, but I was genuinely entertained throughout. Now let’s see Spike Lee ruin it, I guess?
