Absolutely stunning.
This film speaks to the environmental devastation we are at risk for with the extreme changes brought on by the climate crisis. Telling the story of the siege of Leningrad, as if it took place in the near future, Oreck's film asks us to consider the terror that may lay ahead.

The Slumber Party Massacre 1982
This movie is tight from beginning to end, playing with and subverting the horror tropes I know and love while at the same time putting forth some unmistakably feminist themes through the script and camera-work. It seems both to poke fun and parody the genre while showing slashers that there is room for women at the table.
