There was potential for a great film there somewhere but a number of things held it back. Generic characters, too much cheese, flat dialog, unneseccary filler.
It had some great visuals, shot very nicely in large part, the ending taking place in a cinema was creative and novel to experience in cinema, like you were being sucked into the tornado through the screen. A bunch of nice ideas and scenes like that, unfortunately buried under an often quite derivative film and set of characters.
