  Josh Safdie sums it up really well: this is about the perversity and the unbelievable beauty of filmmaking

  When he shows his neighbour the footage of his dead mother….when they all watch the Worker film on tv  = the beauty of filmmaking 

  Actually a lot lighter than Kieslowski’s later stuff - the first 10 minutes is like something out of Only Fools and Horses
