Love movies like these that tell the stories of legends of wrestling that people may not be familiar of.
Performances were great and the wrestling was well done, especially the final title match.
Had some slow portions in the middle but I appreciate this movie for shining a light on the pioneers of not just wrestling, but women’s wrestling.
The insanity of live TV is captured so perfectly in this film and with it being on SNL, the poster child of this type of broadcasting, it makes it that much funnier and hectic.
Even if I only experience being part of live TV in a smaller format, I still get a rush watching things come together for the show here.
And as always, performances are stellar and really enjoyed the camera work on this one
Loved the performances in this movie, the kids especially were stellar.
But man this movie just made me sad. Seeing the final scene gave me some slight feeling of ease knowing for a short while, those kids were going to have all their problems wash away.
But man, A24 out here trying to make me cry again.
Also Willem Dafoe is a legend as always.
