    my god i needed this. a dark crime mystery that’s overwhelmingly intense and emotionally heavy. green flag. 
    I’m on a denis villeneuve marathon rn & this mans work is undeniable. He has this ability to transform dark subject matters into masterpieces and I’m always left in awe. the movie flows & builds perfectly. it had consistent moments of tension & everything continued to get better and more interesting. 
    gorgeous cinematography, editing & the screenplay? flawless. also anchored by powerful performances, hugh jackman, you did that. jake gyllenhall, ily & ur eye twitch.
