the racism and sexism in this is just so entirely pointless and unnecessary and has no bearing on the movie, so why is it included?
well because it's a Guy Ritchie Trademark movie and he's proven with most of his movies that he's a racist sexist, that just throws that shit into what would be fine movie just cause he feels like it.
even looking past that stuff this is just the most standard organized crime movie i've seen in a while. this is the type of movie the actor characters in tropic thunder would call their magnum opus
perfection honestly. it’s so weird and obtuse, but it keeps you locked in the entire time. some of the best acting i’ve seen in years from Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson. Once again Robert Eggers proves he’s one of the greatest with another terrifying spine chilling period piece.
