Blah blah “inherently problematic” blah blah blah “she gaslights a whole family” blah blah blah - I don’t care this is my comfort movie and you all will have to endure my rewatches and my gushes about it - can’t a girl commit accidental fraud by being too gosh darn charming? (The real crime here is how she takes her hot dogs)

So much terrible stuff happens in this movie but it does feel fairly easy and soft, which was good as I’m sick at the moment. However I also think it suffers with the 90s approach to certain topics - namely, domestic abuse, queerness and racism, it’s all slightly too sweet and sugary at points, I think this could have been even better if those topics were further examined and certain tropes were not apparent.
But I guess it’s all served with pie and good old southern charm. But yeah sure, “best friends”…. best friends my bee charming, barbecuing ass.

I could go into this saying this is terrible. Which it is. But I do not want to do that.
    No guys.
Madame Web is actually a rich, meta textual, post modernist, deconstructionist text. Maybe because you guys don’t have a film degree you wouldn’t understand the highly intelligent and bountiful film that is this one.
Are most of the villain’s lines done with terrible ADR? Yes? And? That’s a bold and artistic choice to alienate an audience member -…
