  beautiful use of music, some entrancing scenes but overall a gratuitous film. its “poetic” nature did not capture me, the characterization of the “veroniques” is minimal and badly done especially given that it is a film that closely follows its protagonists. it seems like the director was just in love with the actress and thought we would all enjoy watching unbearably long shots of her face like he did, thinking that looking at a woman doing nothing for long amounts of time somehow reveals something about her
