Demonic horror used to reflect American suburbia is a great answer to the films ideological question, I just don’t think it goes far enough.
I would have loved to see them do something drastic/ radical but I know that’s not what the movie is trying to say. “The suburbs are where you go to die. ‘Deathburbs.’” The space of the suburb representing stability within an unstable system, but also a loss of mobility within it.
