Incredible to see how similar this one cop drama movie is to the entirety of the TV show The Wire.
Very nice watch but couldn't understand what was up with Anthony Perkins' sex shame. Did he have a fucked up dick? Someone clarify please.
Would recommend watching Blow Up for more film exploring the perverse nature of the modeling industry, and 9 to 5 for another good woman driven movie for the people that deals with modern life in the big city and it's problems.
I did not realize the original was THAT much better than the Nicolas Cage version.
I love the idea of a scottish island returning to Celtic Paganism, and that the best way they find to validate their beliefs is by demonstrating their superiority over a modern Catholic policeman, and truly how foolish his assumptions are. I also love another play on what I'm coming to think may be the oldest trope in horror: beware the non-westernized European at all costs

1st watch I thought I didn't like this one.
This time I realize my issue - I just don't like Natalie Portman's acting, or Alex Garland's directing. Jennifer Jason Leigh, however, kills it as a badass Josh Brolin cool lone operator-type who I could see as the main character in a version where she also (spoiler)...
