Oof. Maybe if I had seen the original movie (National Lampoon Vacation, 1983) first I would have gotten more of the references and enjoyed it more? This movie was suffocating with too many poorly written jokes. But also, it was so bad that I couldn’t help but watch because making fun of it with my sister while we watched was really fun! So maybe I’ll give it another half star for that.

Captain America: The First Avenger 2011
Captain America: The First Avenger was very well done. The foreshadowing is clever but doesn’t spoil the movie, and the blend of 1940s technology with modern technology was seamless. The movie uses more dull tones for the scenes take place in the 1940s, and then the colours become more lively as the setting shifts into modern times, which I thought was a brilliant touch. Also, Chris Evans is real hot which made the movie even more enjoyable to watch.
