This is one hard film to watch. And I mean it in a good way. It's such an intimate exploration of what a young girl experiences when she is the victim of a sexual predator. This exploration also gets up close and personal to what the parents experience. The film gets so close to what happens, you might feel physically ill like I did in the watching. Awkward! Does anyone play awkward with more bat shit crazy than Rachel Sennot? I think not. I don't know what I would have done if I'd been in her ripped stockings when I was her age, but in my wise-ass 60's, I'd have left after I locked eyes with my john. Or after I found out he was married. Or after his wife and (holy shit!) baby arrived. That character has some grade A level chutzpa!
