Growing up with a younger brother I’ve seen how he has changed for better and for worse. I see his kind sweet character melting into masculinity and the craving of validation from others, especially other boys. The scene where Barbie comes back and looks around with horror and helplessness on her face hurts me to my core in a way nothing has. Seeing the results of something you have no control over but will impact you indefinitely. It was her dream house.
