  one of the few movies ive seen that i can call perfect. the story it tells is so sad and nuanced and god damn relatable. it totally changed horror as a genre to focus more on what fear can represent and has so many cool metaphors. i also really appreciate the happy ending. ALSO THIS MOVIE IS SO GENUINELY SCARY LIKE YELL AT THE TV HIDE UNDER A BLANKET KIND OF SCARY which i havent experienced since i was like 8. incredible on so many levels.
