Honestly some of the best acting I’ve seen, and the cinematography of the film really serves to further express the emotions of each scene. If I had to pick a thesis for the film it would be this:
“I swear it's not a world of men it's not a world of men, Machine it's a world of clock watchers, bureaucrats, officeholders what it is, it's a fucked up world there's no adventure to it” (Roma).
It was no Goodfellas, but it was still a very good movie, with an amazing soundtrack (I love how Scorsese uses the music appropriate to the time of the setting to help the audience identify where events are chronologically and also to get a glimpse into how the characters are feeling).
