  The movie was thrilling and emotional. The focus on the characters and their relationships was really highlighted.
  It was sad seeing the characters die and infuriating, seeing how some characters were selfish, but it was realistic. I could clearly see and feel how the characters were affected by the apocalypse.

  Grave of the Fireflies 1988

  Although we learn about war in school and see it on the news, watching a movie that focused on the story of two characters during a war really helped me visualize how the life of citizens in a country targeted by war could be like.

  The characters don't really grow much, but I believe the younger sister changed a bit towards the end of the movie. The movie is quite sad, as we see the living situation of the characters…

  This is art. It's amazing how this looks given that this was filmed decades ago. Although I was confused, I couldn't help but be drawn to the film. I especially liked the sequence with Hal and the crew members. It's cool to see the influences of this movie in other science fiction films.
