Loved it. It floors me that this was made and released while WWII was happening. Such a rich cast of characters in a unique & compelling setting. Feels endlessly rewatchable.

For me there was barely any believable chemistry, eroticism, or stakes here. The lead male character is written to be a snivelling childish sociopath with little charm and it’s baffling to me where the intial attraction to him comes from? I know Harris Dickinson is a good actor so I’m chalking that up to the script & direction. Saw a review calling this half-baked and I think that’s the best way to describe it.
