very fun movie. beautifully shot, and I loved how stylized it was.
to be completely honest, I did keep falling in and out of sleep, but that’s because I shouldn’t see a movie after 8PM. with the themes of this movie, it might actually be the one film where falling in and out of sleep somehow enhanced — or at least was weirdly interesting for — the watching experience.
3.5/5, would mostly-watch-but-also-a-little-bit-sleep-watch again.
Not the movie I expected going in. It was a sweet coming of age, but there’s better. Appreciate a storyline about someone realizing their sexuality is more expansive in the opposite direction from what we usually see.
Expected a buddy comedy, and Aubrey Plaza was more of a cameo.
Still glad it exists for young queer ppl.

Denzel standout, Paul Mescal obviously hot but felt kinda grimy and evil. Pedro barely in it, and his character felt flat and without an arc.
Felt like this movie was literally plucked out of 2005.
