  i feel like i definitely need to watch this again because it’s so complex and beautifully heart wrenching. the way that miyazaki is able to articulate the excruciating feeling of not knowing whether to hold on to things or to let go is perfectly executed in this film and left me in moments where i had tears in my eyes without evening knowing exactly why.
