  Went into the film not expecting much. But was very pleasantly surprised. It was incredibly engaging despite me not being particularly interested in the goings of the Catholic Church nor the conclave prior to this film. However felt myself fully engaged anticipating each moment with the film. I do however felt slightly underwhelmed w the ending. But I don’t think this is enough to tarnish the film in anyway!

  This film is wildly uncomfortable yet undeniably thought provoking. Sexual scenes with a mentally underdeveloped person is unsettling and disturbing. But disturbed feelings aside, I understand the message that was attempting to be relayed, although I’m unsure of how successful that really was. Mark ruffalo was mediocre at best and I found his performance bland and disappointing. Emma stone on the other hand handled this character exceptionally well. Frankly without her I think this film would’ve been a mess. I…
