It's about sex it's about being a kid it's about growing up it's about being a girl and being a woman it's about leaving home it's about coming back different it's about ownership and self it's about men it's about being alive it's about everything

Laughing in a not completely mean manner at the people who take this literally, the core is in the science fiction of it all it gets to be what you want it to because none of it is real.
It is also insanely good looking and very well acted (minus some muddled British accents thrown in).

God, if someone had told me this was about a homosexual couple who hate one another and their arch nemesis I would have watched this years ago.

Honestly love a good prison film and this is definitely one of the best, Just manages to humanise the characters so well without feeling the need to sanitise any of the reality of what prison is.

I did not expect this to be a complex and thoughtful exploration of the depth of human connection and the ability of people to find commonalities in any situation, but what else should have I expected from a Park Chan Wook film about the North/South Korean border zone.

Watching this so soon after Sorry We Missed You was quite rough, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Aimee-Ffoion Edwards was amazing, as were the rest of the cast for that matter, and the editing was actually really great. Parts of it were almost comically villainous, but at the same time were almost exactly what people actually have to live through, so I guess that just goes to show how well the film puts across its point.
It's not groundbreaking, but it's well made and much needed.

Once again, I am asking you all to watch this film.

And I admit, most people won't love it.
Actually, I'm sure a lot of people would hate watching this, or at least find it quite uncomfortable in places. But it's so worth the watch. The performances are brilliant, it looks lovely, and the soundtrack and sound design is so well done as to perfectly mesh with the rest of the film.

My only real problem is that because it…
