Very entertaining and I liked some of the goofy aspects… thought there was a bit too much going on at times that some of it lost its meaning…also the Trump impression and the cartoonish evil villains trying to colonize space made it feel too much like it should have been an animated Pixar film lol but it was fun to watch Robert Pattinson in a role like this, my fave parts were when Mickey 17 and 18 were interacting with each other

Rewatched this movie cuz it’s one of those movies I’ve kept thinking about…I didn’t think I would have the same reaction to the ending but the disillusionment still hit me just as hard. I really think Burt Lancaster’s performance is so incredible in this, his level of commitment and how he takes you on this journey of believing in his delusions alongside him and we break down with him as his fantasy world begins to fall apart with every swim. Also the music is soo good and so beautifully shot!

For the longest time I’ve been saying that we need to bring back the modern Shakespeare adaptation rom coms and I’ve been saying how Much Ado About Nothing needs to be adapted focusing specifically on Benedict and Beatrice…so yeah I kinda feel like I should get a writing credit or something on this movie lol….but yeah it was fun! the perfect movie to watch while getting drunk in your hometown movie theater over the holidays hehehe
