  IMAX, Kips Bay.
  There is plenty to look and to enjoy. It’s a visual and tonal feast, BUT for me it was largely empty calories; it over-indulges in its own obscurity and trades heart, arcs, and story cohesion for brazen bizarreness. I knew this going in but hoped its weirder moments would work on a POOR THINGS level but it lacks the humor and lyrical beauty. Totally worthwhile as are all BJH movies, but as a whole, this didn’t quite work for me.
