    Terrific performances from the leads as well as the most minor characters who only had one or two lines. I think this film's strength is its humour. Sadly, it took a long time to get interesting and I wasn't a fan of the narrative structure, especially at the beginning.

    If I wanted to watch a straight-up film about addiction, I'd opt for Requiem for a Dream. But Trainspotting, which I've now seen 30 times, is much more than a drug film. It hits so many different emotional beats, and it is really a coming of age film for us late bloomers. A film about finding out who you are and what you want from life.
