  Very well lit.  Jared Harris should be playing Dr Michael Morbius.  Chop chop choppy edit.  Entirely falls apart the second he gets his special effect super powers.  No real identifiable purpose to any of it.

  Trashy, amateurishly shot and conceived, weak characterizations despite a more in depth exploration of the core relationships, and a tone that gets hammier and less tolerable as it wears on.

  DeNiro starts off doing some interesting things with the physicality of the role, taking some good cues from Mitchum's performance but the bad accent gets worse and in the climax he chews through every bit of scenery he can find, and his performance feels more inspired by 90s Batman villains…
