  Watchable. I went in to this expecting nothing and was intrigued by Anthony Hopkins portrayal of Hitchcock. My most major gripe with this film is the lack of character development for Hitchcock. I think its assumed that we know who this man is and what he is but i would have rather a little early childhood, a little information about his relationship with his mother.   First of all, the movie just kind of ended. Did they escape? Was madeline permanently traumatized by her near bird death? Did she ever get together with the guy? A lot of questions; namely why the birds were attacking the humans at all. Regardless of that, this does draw some interesting parallels to Vertigo.   One of the best movies I've ever seen. I particularly like the use of imagrey to accociate the replicants with slaves, as shown by the tyrell corp being in the shape of an egyptian pyramid. I also love the film noir and sci fi cross.
