I have never been haunted by a character quite like this before. An amazing performance by Daniel Day-Lewis. When I watched this film I felt an invasion, a darkness envelope me which I could not escape. Hella corny, I know. But I was so gripped and so appalled by the acts of this man. I enjoyed this film all the way through. It's amazing how cunning and beautifully put the screenplay is. it has many similarities to Vertigo. We will forget that the same actor, James Stewart, from Vertigo is also in this.
There seems to be a fascination with relationships in both films. Both Scottie and L.B. Jefferson have conflicted ideas of whom they should be with. Jefferson does end up loving Lisa more than before once the film ends.
