Now I know how my grandpa felt seeing Christopher Lee’s Dracula in the 50s.
Unprecedentedly terrifying and intense.
Great Shepard Tone.
Dreadfully boring and overhyped in terms of gore - nothing happens for a good 40-50 minutes out of 90. And those opening minutes are disgustingly misogynistic. This is more offensive than the torture. It’s very of it’s time, for sure. It also feels too clean and high budget for what it’s trying to achieve.
The story arc for the most unlikeable character is one of the most poorly written and stupid things I’ve ever witnessed, too.
One of the most astonishingly made films I’ve ever seen.
One take in a high-end restaurant. Incredible naturalistic acting from the lead cast. I’ll say it again. One take. One shot. Phenomenal.
