BRATS 2024
There was not enough substance to validate the runtime here. Director Andrew McCarthy overhyped the fallout from the “brat-pack” article when every conversation boiled down to “Yeah, the brat-pack label sucked, but ultimately it was fine.” He never even goes into specifics about what the article even says, he just assumes the audience is well aware of a magazine article written in the 80s. In a post Quiet On Set landscape, this whole documentary just seems inconsequential in exploring the toxicity of the film industry. It’s just a bunch of pleasant interviews between old friends that get really boring really fast.
