Watching people sleep for almost half the film made me also very sleepy. As a film this really didn't work. Tanjiro's narrative ends midway through with fairly little inconvenience, only for the reigns to be taken over by a new Big Bad we've never met and have no reason to care about. Call me a monster but this also really overestimates how much I care about old bug eyes.
Would this have worked better as a mini-series, ie the way it was originally written? Probably. But it's still very much a promise of better things to come without really delivering in the here and now.

+ Practical effects…

+ Kylo and Rey talking to each other.
+ The Red Guards are cool.
- Too much levity. The awkward timed humour undermines so many serious scenes. This film is tied with Thor: Ragnarok for Best Comedy of the Year.
- Way too many characters. Too hard to juggle new and old cast. Half the people in…
