Hugh Grant is hilarious in this and really shines opposite James Caan. There is a scene where they are in a car and Grant is practicing his Italian accent that makes me laugh every time I see it. It’s a bit of a dark comedy and a great little Father and son-in-law bonding movie. The love interest gets overshadowed a bit by the relationship between Caan and Grant’s characters, but there are plenty of other familiar faces to follow around on this proverbial tour of Italian actors of the time period. A not so old comedy classic.

I Love You to Death 1990
Loved the actors, liked the film. William Hurt and Keanu Reeves stand out as the like able dim witted hitmen and Hurt brings his “A” game to maximize his short screen time. Kevin Kline is over the top and plays a caricature and Tracey Ullman feels almost held back as a comedienne. I love Ullman so maybe I’m being too harsh with my rating but to me it’s a little above average.
