Breakdown 1997
I can’t quite put my finger on what this movie is missing. Maybe there just wasn’t enough to get me to buy in before the movie kicked off.
it tells the story it is trying to with very little fat Which has positives and negatives, that being one of them.With that being said, In many sequences the protagonist does exactly what I would rationally do and that was quite satisfying to watch.

Road House 1989
Another classic down , something light to get my mind over the recent (to me) passing of River Phoenix.
Why anyone would ever attempt to remake this untouchable masterpiece is unbeknownst to me.
The movie feels as though I was missing out on some sort of inside joke having watched action movies that came after and clearly drew inspiration/referenced.
Not only a quintessential action hero movie, but also really explains why bouncers have a god complex when I’m waiting in line.

Stand by Me 1986
First movie on my journey of watching classics I skipped over in my youth, and what a banger this was.
Sometimes you gotta just let it out and watch a sad film, and Stand By Me is the perfect movie for it. The children were clearly allowed to have freedom w the characters and improv, as a result it has an essence of realness that some coming of age stories miss completely.
Nearly cried mourning the loss of River Phoenix, unfortunately I am apparently 30 years late to this revelation but to me it’s like he just passed. Pls respect my privacy at this time.
