    Jurassic World Dominion

    ★★

Perhaps one of the most flavourless, featureless and overlong blockbusters in recent memory, Jurassic World Dominion barely scrapes a 2 star rating by the skin of its teeth thanks to the welcome return of Spielberg's original cast and their intact bonhomie.

Truth be told, I find Dominion's rampant mediocrity a little surprising. I wouldn't normally raise an eyebrow over a tentpole blockbuster (a sixth instalment in a critically declining franchise at that!) coming out of the oven a swollen mess.…

'There was no mention of the murders'

Mr. Scorsese mentions "putting everything he had" into KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON.
This sentiment is radiant throughout every minute of this monumental and seethingly brutal display of depravity that occurred during the Osage Reign of Terror. This production completely devastates through its continual buildup to sickening acts that ratchets and festers with your thoughts as the picture goes on.
The piece exerts intensity through masterful conflict in the cast.

    I beat up the bathroom

Beloved and treasured Punch-Drunk Love was a bit of a cinematic oddity to me. Sandler acts extremely well in this and the score by Jon Brion was awesome. Starkly different to Anderson’s other joints but it’s the one I have the least reverence for; I never quite got into the goofy headspace of Barry Egan and perhaps that says something about me!
Still, his showdown with Seymour Hoffman’s ‘mattress man’ was darkly comedic in a way that only that bizarre pairing of actors could achieve. A curious flick.

The most wonderful thing about Tiggers!

I LOVE tigger! This is a lovely little film. Tigger’s sing-song about his Tigger family was beautiful and the ending is as emotional as they say… Tigger and Roo have my heart 🐅🧡🦘

'All of the training, all of the sacrifice, no one can hide forever. It's time to show the world who I really am'

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is a triumph!

I was pumped out of my mind when it was announced Marvel was finally delivering its first film with an Asian lead. And when the relatively unknown but intensely energetic Simu Liu showed his face at Comic-Con 2019, well needless to say I was betting my…

Not only a loving, respectful homage to the legacy of, debatably, the most beloved character in all of pop culture and his equally iconic formidable foes, Spider-Man: No Way Home is a joyous, delightful and effortlessly heartfelt adventure that managed to meet my unprecedented excitement AND then some!

Tom Holland has had a great run as the wall-crawler thus far in two solo outings and various ensemble appearances. But, many, myself included, would argue his iteration has had…
